Do I need a selective licence in Peterborough?
Peterborough's current selective licensing scheme runs from 11 March 2024 to 10 March 2029. It applies to qualifying privately rented homes in designated areas, subject to exemptions. Check the individual address against the council's official information; a Peterborough postcode alone does not establish whether a licence is required.

Who does what: 360, Home Safe and the council
360 is an independent maintenance provider. Home Safe administers the scheme for Peterborough City Council, including its application and inspection processes. The council is the licensing authority.
Our role is to help with the agreed preparation, repairs and records. Licence decisions and acceptance of inspection evidence remain with the responsible authority or scheme administrator. Booking work with 360 does not itself grant a licence or establish that every landlord obligation has been met.

Frequently asked questions
Can 360 help after a Home Safe inspection?
Yes. Send an enquiry describing the repair items and any stated deadline. We can review the scope, provide a quote and agree which work we can carry out or coordinate.
Can you help me prepare an application?
We can help organise property information and maintenance records. The application must follow the official process. Any service involving submission or representation would need to be specifically agreed and properly authorised.
Can you guarantee that my property will pass?
We can agree and complete a defined scope of work and provide records of it. Approval of a licence or acceptance of inspection evidence is decided through the official process.
Is selective licensing the same as HMO licensing?
No. Different licensing schemes apply to different circumstances. A property licensed under the applicable HMO scheme does not also need a selective licence. Check the relevant council guidance before applying.
See the official council guidance and HMO maintenance.
